How do I figure my 180 days so I can plan my reservations? Is it listed somewheres? I am leaving Nov 13th.

Cool. You can celebrate my birthday at WDW without me!

This link will calculate your ADR reservation start date.

When I put in 11/13/11, the 180 day point was 5/17/11. If you're staying at a Disney owned resort, you can make ADRs for your entire stay on 5/17. If not, you could either make reservations each subsequent day or wait a week and make your reservations all at once at that point.

You can google Disney world trip calculator and then input your arrival date. It will show you the 180 day mark as well as 90 days etc.

I am confused. I am going on 10/22/2011. Based on that calculator it says I can't book until 4/25/2011 but it is showing that they are currently booking through 10/15 line which should mean I can start booking next Friday for 10/22/2011.

How does that work?

Also, if booking online do I just go in one by one and make the reservations? Should I do it in priorty of what I want most?

Thanks.

This is the best calculator I have found. Always been accurate!

It says the same thing as you mentioned. With your arrival date of 10/22/2011, your 180-day mark is 4/25/2011 and that is when you can start booking your ADRs.

I'm not sure what you mean by it shows they are currently booking through 10/15 line...

I would book your ADRs in priority of what books the quickest! If you list the ADRs you want, I'm sure people can advise you which ones go quick.

The DIS is using Scott's pscalculator.net ADR calculator. They are both working from the same place. ;)

Based on your arrival date of 10/22, you can make ADRs on 4/25. I don't know what the "10/15 line" means from your post, but you can't book any ADRs for 10/22/11 and beyond until 4/25/11. That's exactly 180 days.

You should be able to use the dining reservations online as a "shopping cart", but some people prefer booking them one by one. You should book by priority of what's most important to you. And you'll need to log in your resort reservation number in order to make reservations for the additional days (up to 10 days) of your trip.

There's a simple way to figure it out even if all you have is a calendar. (And no, I don't mean counting back 180 steps.)

The first thing to know is the right day of the week - If you arrive on a Monday, your reservation day will be a Wednesday. Arrive on Tuesday, reserve on Thursday. Arrive on Friday, reserve on Sunday . . . and so on. Reservation day (not date) is two days (of the week) after arrival day. Suppose in your case, it's a Saturday.

So once you know the right day of the week, then take your arrival date, go back six months, then go forward two days. From there, find the closest Saturday. That will be your reservation date.

say you're arriving on 4/15/12. That's a Sunday. So your reservation day will be a Tuesday. (Two days after Sunday.) From 4/15, back up six months to 10/15/11. Then go forward two days to 10/17/11. That's a Monday. The closest Tuesday is 10/18. That's your reservation date.

Use Microsoft Excel and 3 cells:

Format Cells 1 & 3 to use a date format and Cell 2 as a number format.

In Cell 1 put in your arrival date in format mm/dd/yyyy
In Cell 2 put 180
In Cell 3 make it an equation: Cell 3 = Cell 1 minus Cell 2. And Cell 3 will give you the date you want.

I think I know what you are talking about. Online it shows the dates for 180 + 10. So, on the date of your message, 4/8/2011, the 180 day mark would have been for arrival on 10/5/2011. The reservation website would have shown the dates through 10/15/2011 (+10). However, if you are not logged in with a reservation number, if you picked a date past 10/5/2011 you would have gotten the following message:

You have chosen a date more than 180 days in advance of today's date. Please choose a date less than 180 days in advance and try again.
