Where can you get the pirate stuff and do they have a pirate dinner on a 3 day? TIA

We ordered our pirate costumes online. Go to yahoo.com and search:Pirate Costumes.

i ordered paper eye patches 48 for 2.95, pirates bandanas 12 or 8.95 and pirate tatoos 2.95 for oriental trading company

we'll wear white tees...... this stuff doesnt take up much luggage space and we'll fit right in :)

lego stores have a nice pirate costume. somewhat pricey, though. but it's really cute! :flower:

If you have a Party City store in your area, they are also a good place to check.

You will receive a red pirates bandana at dinner. Yes they have a pirate dinner on the 3 day. We just did it in May. Depending when your cruise is, don't forget about buying stuff at Halloween . Walmart has great prices.
You can also take old shirts and put some patches on them, roll up the sleeves part way, maybe an open vest, if your a man, don't shave that day,buy some of the black crayons to black out your teeth, available at most party stores or at halloween. Old slacks ( for men), capri's for women and cut jagged hems in them looks great too. Lots of ugly bulky cheap jewely from local thrift shops adds a lot to the outfit too and doesnt cost much.
Thrift stores are a great place to get ideas.

Does pretty much everybody dress up for pirate night, including adults? Does it start at dinner and end with a party afterwards?

Thanks!

hi Pam- Our whole family of five will be in costume. Parts purchased online or ebay or pieced together and made at home from cheap $1/yard material at wal mart. things like waist sash for DH and other parts were made from satiny material. Mine is a bit racy and purchased from ebay(off the shoulder peasant blouse in brite red, bare midriff, mini skirt, fishnets, and black pumps/sandals. Husbands idea!!!! We are going to the Pirate Dinner Adventure while in Orlando(dinner theme show) and our son is doing the Pirate cruise at Grd. Floridian so We keyed on the pirate theme for this trip. Plus we will all be pirates for halloween so we will get some mileage from this expense.Kids have fake swords and temp. pirate tattoos.they are really excited and counting the days!

I like what you are going to wear...
You bought it from ebay. I might have to surprise DH with it and wear it on pirate night. I just asked in a few minutes ago if he would dress up for me and surprisely enough he was all for it.

Jsme- my DH is doing the scruffy Don Johnson look and will be wearing royal blue with purple sash as a Pirate King and admittably we are both hoping that the 3 kids expire early enough that we can continue the party later. Though on our 3 day it is the nite we are in Nassau and that is planned as a long day.

lime and sandy kids,
I am here scanning ebay now and have found one costume I would think about wearing in the price arrange I am willing to pay. I am getting excited about this.

Liz,
Yes it starts at dinner and goes the entire evening, with the deck party and buffet afterwards.
It's hard to explain how many do and don't dress up. We have seen some cruises where practically everyone is dressed up, adults and kids alike. Others only have mostly the kids. If your lucky and have a lively ship, most will have some kind of pirate attire on. Some just wear the pirate bandana they give you at dinner. I have noticed that most people who are eating at Tritons, or Lumiere's feel funny dressing up during dinner. But they shouldn't because even the waite staff is dressed up as pirates. pirate:
One thing I did notice, especially on our last cruise in May, was those who didnt dress up were commenting that next time they wanted to dress up too because everyone was having so much fun with it. The more people who dress up, the more fun it is, so I say GO FOR IT!!!
Disney is the one place adults can act like kids and nobody thinks anything about it. Have a magical cruise.

Thanks for the great info! Wow, dinner, party and then buffet!!! Sounds like lots of eating when you cruise!

We are planning or dressing up for the Pirate night on our 3 day in September. DH isnt thrilled with the idea... but I told him, his costume would be painless... I am thinking Smee for DH... lol

It will be a tricky to get all that stuff packed... well packing anything for the cruise, since it is going to be a surprise for our kids. SO I have to guess at their sizes....

Hi, Sandy!
;) I bet it was his idea! I wonder what you guys will be doing afterwards? :love2: Really, it's a cute idea. I was looking along the lines of something smaller..like just some patches, hats, etc. I may get a fake bird and strap it to my shoulder! I don't want to do anything too scary..my 2 yo will get scared. Thanks for all the tips!!

My dh dressed up last Oct and now for the repo cruise I want to also. Anyone have any good ideas where I could buy a white peasant blouse? I have been looking but haven't run across one.
