i'm looking at booking the virgin free dining offer as it comes out as good value for us....

when would you rather go:
about the 14th september ish for 2 weeks (taking us to the 28th) OR
the 29th september to the 13th october?

we want to go to the halloween party, so either date can work for us, but what is better crowd or weather wise?

You wanna go for the first option, purely because I'm there! :lmao:

I'm not sure about crowds etc, but September never seems to be a problem, plus MNSSHP!! (I am going too!)

Best of luck on your choice!

29th September - 13th October - don't ask why but that's the date we booked for :cool1:

We are going to the Beach Club for two weeks (free DDP also :thumbsup2 ) - I think that I hoped that hurricane season would be almost over then (less rain??), plus the attraction of MNSSHP. At the time I did also think that it was right at the end of the free dining period (though Virgin have blown that idea now!) and that it may be a little easier to get our ADRs, especially if the US free dining finishes earlier.

Hope that kind of makes sense :confused3

I guess crowd wise, they're both similar. Weather wise, the later option would probably be a better choice, less humid.
Then again, we're going mid september for 2 weeks... but that was the best timing for us with free dining and work.

I would go the 1st option we were there 8th-22nd sept last year and the crowds were really low.

If you go for the later dates the scottish schools are on holiday for some of the time and I know myself and some of my friends would pull their kids out of school for the last week of term so if we were going october school holidays we would go from about the 4th oct. That might not make it much busier but it would add.
The earlier in sept you go the less kids as US and English kids go back start of sept so not many parents take them back out of school so soon

Withouat a shadow of a doubt, the first option.

We went on 11 September for our first visit and the crowds were very minimal and the weather was very warm with only 2 rain squalls.

The next time we went was 6 October and we found the crowd level was greater than in September. When we asked a CM we were told it was because of the Food and Wine Festival. The weather, although pleasant was quite a bit cooler and we got caught out as we didn't have any warm tops with us, our visit to Sea World one day was positively baltic :rotfl: lol.

So, given the choice, I would always go mid September.

We're going 26th Sept and this is the 3rd time we'e been at this time.

Weather wise it was very warm in the day with maybe a jumper needed for the late night fireworks.

I'e never seen rain but I think we've been lucky.

All rides were 5-10 mins wait and never really needed fastpasses.

However, I've not been since free DDP started so this could have an impact on crowd levels.

we go in sept as the crowds are low and we got to do mnsshp last year and loved it so are doing that again this year

We fly 27th aug to 12th sept and I cant wait!!

We second this choice we'll be there then too:goodvibes

Does DDP have a massive effect on the crowd levels?
We had planned to do Orlando at the end of our holiday (after Miami), in October. After reading this I'm thinking of doing it the othr way around.
