DISNEYLAND

I have had 13 reconstructive surgery between my pelvis and my upper arm. I have gone on a trip to Disneyland right each one of them, and let me tell you, nothing beats bringing and keeping on the right track to recovery than to be in the Magic Kingdom.
I am scheduled for another reconstructive surgery again(and hopefully the last one of the series, cross fingers) at the beginning of July and because of it, booked a trip down to Disneyland, CA that last week of June.

A phone call to my best friend of over 30 years always does the trick. He has me laughing in seconds.

If family or friends aren't available, then I crank up the tunes. Lately I've been listening to a lot of swing, and it really puts me in a happy mood. I also like to watch you tubes of my favorite Disney attractions.

I just watch an episode or two of Whose Line is it Anyway. It's hard to be sad when your cheekbones ache from laughing.

For real, exercise brings me out of the blues. I think endorphins really do the trick for me, somehow. No kidding.

But on the flip-side, eating always makes me happy too!

My dogs make me smile as well. And I'd love to say that my childrens' bubbly laughter cheers me up but, aside from the fact that they probably caused my stress in the first place, any "bubbly laughter" from them probably means they are starting a fire or playing with the spray paint again.

My yorkie, Cooper. He will jump up in my lap, lay in my arms and I rub his belly. He looks up at me and just knows that I am down. There is no feeling in the world when I am with that dog. I love him so much
