What times do you actually take a break? When you go back, how late do you stay?

We'll have dd6 and dd2 who need a break but also usually go to bed by 7:30 and my in-laws who will need breaks, too. I'm trying to be realistic with my plans to get in a good break but still have some time in the parks when we go back. So...when do you leave the park, when do you come back, and how long do you stay at night?

Any other tips for getting rest and keeping everyone happy? We're going the last time week of May, so the crowds and heat won't be the worst, but getting on up there. Thanks!

I went with kids your age. We would always hit rope drop and early emh. We found we were able to get on alot of rides till around 10, that's when the park started to get busy. We would go do other things like shows and parades. Then have lunch either at the park or back at our resort. The kids would swim a little and then nap from 2 to 4. We would have then go have dinner around 5 530 and stay at park for late night shows.

When our kids were little and we brought in-laws AND at home they went to bed early like yours, we found that breaks + returning to parks really didn't work for us daily. We stayed value or moderate, so a monorail resort may be a different story. We would either go early, let the kids cat nap in stroller and leave the park in time to be back at the room by 7-8; OR go early, go back for a swim/nap and spend evening at downtown Disney; OR just one or two days where we'd do morning through a noonish lunch, head back for naps 2-4, then return around 5 for park dinner and stay through fireworks. We'd do a mix of these over the course of the week. We wouldn't do the nap daily because being out of the parks 4+ hours was just too much for us since we couldn't stay past 9:30 or so on our latest nights.

Looking forward to keeping different schedules now that our kids are getting bigger ;)
