get one of the guest certificates? Is this something you have to do? Do you call the resort directly or do you get in touch with RCI?

Thanks!

When you rent your timeshare there would be no reason to involve RCI because you own it and did not involve RCI. What you need to do is call your resort and ask them. Sometimes all that is needed is that you tell your resort who will be checking in instead oif you.

Poohbear, I don't own, but I rent timeshares and I personally request that the owner provide me with a guest certificate, just for peace of mind knowing my name is definitely registered as their guest.

Hope that helps you :D

DVC will change the name to your renter or guest - not a problem.

Other timeshare I have had to sign a letter saying that they were there with my permission - and give them a phone number to call me if any problems - this timeshare refused to change the name on the reservation. I wasn't selling it - I was letting family use it.
