When you order a birthday cake...

in the restaurants, do they bring it over singing, i.e. ? Do they key characters usually accompany said cake delivery to make it extra special? Any experiences at specific restaurants ?

I ordered a b-day cake for LTT on my MIL's b-day (it was the day after Mother's Day) this year. We were a party of 8 for dinner. At the end of the meal, several servers & characters came over & sang, and hung around for photos with us!! MIL also received a b-day card signed by all of the characters.

The hostess had even sprinkled Mickey confetti all over the table before we were seated for dinner. She gave me a small box of the confetti also & said it was for me to use as a souvenir & that maybe I could use it in a scrapbook if I were going to scrap the trip. She was sooooo nice!

Here are our experiences.....last Oct, for dd's 13th, I had ordered a cake from the GF bakery. We had lunch at the GF Cafe...well, booked lunch but were still too full from CP breakfast, so we had coffee/sodas and the cake was brought out. Our server, David, was terrific. He made a very big deal out of it, had the entire restaurant singing to dd.
At CP that morning, dd got her birthday cupcake, with candle, and confetti on the table. All the characters signed a card I had brought...a special Disney birthday card. Then they all made a sorta big deal with dd.

On her 6th birthday at WDW, dd had dinner at CR...the server came out with a birthday cupcake/candle, a card signed by the characters. She sang Happy Birthday with the other servers while the characters bounced around us.

I had my birthday at Chef Mickeys last Oct and ordered a small cake. The table had a special HB placemat and confetti on it. When the cake was delivered Mickey and Minnie came over and the little room off the salad area joined the CM's in singing to me. It was very cute.
