What one spot do you instantly think of when you need a Disney "fix"?


For me...it's sitting on a chair on the lagoon beach with my DH and 2 DD's munching popcorn and waiting for the whir of the EWP boat as it comes into view...anticipating the first few magical notes of the show!

my favorite is walking around VWL and remembering everything about the resort and of course the great little nooks around both WL and VWL to just sit and absorb the beauty.

For some strange reason, when I close my eyes and I think of our VWL "home", I can picture walking under that covered walkway and hearing the doors glide open. That's always my first "we're home" spot!


Yup. I'm missing it too!

DH said that when he walked through those doors last summer, he got a big on his face.

For me it's the music at VWL. I have bought two or three CD's that have some of the same or similar music on them. All I have to do is put them in the CD player, and I'm home!

When we have had early PS's for Cinderella's table, we have been able to walk up a deserted Main Street with the castle rising up in the distance. It was like we owned the park ... MAGICAL!

Well, since I haven't been to our new home at SSR yet, my current "Disney, Take Me Away!" image is this: sitting on a bench on the 2nd floor of the Main St. train station watching Spectromagic with DW and (then much younger) DS. As those fanfares ring out and the night is filled with lights, I'm Disney-fied, at least for a while.

As far as a DVC 'Disney Moment', I have yet to experience those because I won't be going to my first trip until towards the end of the month.

But, when I close my eyes I hear the tootin' of the Disney Railroad as I walk under the bridge entering Disneyland/Magic Kingdom and start to hear some of that ragtime music playin' and the hustle and bustle of Main Street.

At that moment, I know I've arrived.

Well, at OKW it is sitting on the balcony having my morning coffee and cereal!

For the parks, it is having dinner at Tepanyaki Dining rooms and staying to watch Illuminations!

Out of everything at WDW, it is walking through the doors at WL, across the lobby, down to Roaring Forks with my mug in hand. No feeling takes me back to the "Magic" like that does The walk back to the villas around the quiet pool is the next best thing.

I love walking into the BW lobby and then out to see the lake and YC/BC in the distance.

(Eyes Closed) - Turning onto Community Drive, passing the Guard Station and getting my "Welcome Home" and smile, crossing the bridge and over to the Hospitality House, parking and getting out of my car and hearing those steel drums making the most beautiful Island music (closing eyes tighter) Ahh...OKW we are home.

I am constantly humming the music to Illuminations and reliving the show.

I have many Disney favorites but the one that really makes me go AHHHHH is sitting in WS at Epcot at night before Illuminations is ready to start with a pastry from the French bakery and taking in the beautiful atmosphere with the torches lit around the lagoon and WS sounds and music playing softly in the background. As Illuminations starts I always have the biggest grin on my face and then after the show taking the beautiful walk back to BWV with the music from Illuminations playing as we stroll through International Gateway and see Crescent Lake and all the Epcot resorts all lit up with the Friendship boats passing by--it is pure heaven.

Okay, you guys - you're making me more anxious to be at WDW than I already was !! Stop !!

Don't know that I have a favorite - all things WDW are good to me. I do really enjoy VWL and wish we had purchased there, maybe an add-on one day.

Keep those fav's coming ! I love reading about them!
