When you are reading a book, does it bother you when

you find typo's? I mean, really. These things are proof-read, right?

It bugs me big time, but than I'm an English teacher. What even bugs me more is when it's a textbook. That's where I see most of the errors. SCARY!

That drives me crazy!! I am always showing DH errors in books, magazines, even BILLBOARDS ( I can't understand that one at all!). I know that there are people who get paid to proofread these things so I can't figure out how such errors get by them. Sometimes they seem SO obvious!

I don't know that I've ever found an error like that in a book. I think it's kind of funny that a book could get published when it's not "perfect".


It does bother me though when I am at work and I get letters from Lawyers who can't spell. I mean spell check isn't that hard to figure out...

Drives me nuts, too. Why have editors or proofreaders if they can't find the mistakes? I mean, if a regular gal like me knows it's wrong, shouldn't someone who is getting paid to pick out mistakes find them?

It drives me nuts when I see them in my school textbooks. I've been known to keep track of them and then e-mail them all to the publisher. Is it surprising? I guess not considering proofreaders don't make much more money than someone working at McDonald's.

YES! There is no excuse for mistakes as books are supposed to be proof read and edited before going to print.


The President of our Board of Education was on the news the other night. He said the word "irregardless" in his short speech about a new bus stop controversy. How embarrassing. The person I voted to be in charge of my childrens education sounds like an idiot.
