When would you go?

Long story short we are not going to be able to go to Disney during the kids school breaks so we are looking at pulling them out for at least 2 days. This means we can pretty much go anytime.

Considering the historical discounts (which I know may *not* be available this year), crowds and weather when would you go if you could pick anytime?

(Kids are 5 and 9 and the in-laws are coming with us)

Hard to say because there are many months I would still like to try. To get the best combination of weather/low crowds I would like to try November (just not around Thanksgiving) into the first weeks of December to see all the Christmas decor:)

September was a great time for discounts and crowds but still very very hot.
And this trip we are going in May. The weather should be nice, but the crowds are predicted to be higher than we're used to.

If you haven't seen it yet there's a great free site that analyzes all the dates and rates and crowds etc. It may be a good place to research a good time for your trip!

I've been several different times of the year, but really enjoyed a May trip during the Flower and Garden Show. Epcot was so beautiful - even more so than it normally is. The weather was nice and the fireworks, etc were at reasonable hours that still allow you to be up early the next morning.

We like going in late Sept. Low crowds. Fall decorations are up. MNSSHP is on. Value season. And last year we had free dining. First week of December is great too for crowds and seeing the Christmas stuff.

We really liked going the beginning of May. Lovely warm weather and very little crowds.

We have had very low crowds the last week of Aug- first of Sept (before Labor Day). Also, we just returned from a trip 1/10-1/15. I thought the crowds were pretty low as well. :)

I've been at all different times of year. However, the one time I have not been there is the week that my friends go...and swear is the best week of the whole year.

The week before Thanksgiving....they are checking out on the Saturday just prior to the holiday.

They have said that the weather is perfect and they practically have the parks to themselves.

Right after Labor Day is great for crowds, usually free dining, but still very hot. I loved early December - also low crowds, and you get all the Christmas stuff. Early January thru mid-Feb (leave before President's Day) are also good, but often a lot of stuff is down for refurb.

While our DS was still in elementary school we had no problem taking him out of school up to five days. We went the second week in December because the crowds are smaller and the Christmas decorations are fantastic.

Once he got into Jr. High; here in the Twin Cities there was one week in October and November that has both Thursday and Friday off so we picked one of these weeks. Of the two I prefer November because it is typically cooler and less humid.

In 2010 we went from November 6th - 13th and it was GREAT!!! We were able to go to MVMCP and the longest line the entire week was Toy Story Mania. We are planning another trip for November 2013 for the same time.
