Can someone help with the pros and cons? Thanksgiving or Christmas? Would like to go at Thanksgiving, but is the Christmas experience better?

Well, generally the Christmas decorations are up before Thanksgiving and MVMCP starts then also. So, you could do a lot of Christmas stuff AT Thanksgiving. There is nothing really special for Thanksgiving except many of the restaurants have special meals for the day. Many folks love early December as you can do all of the Christmas stuff but crowds are historically low (though they are growing.) Crowds on the last few days before Christmas would be pretty hairy, and the week between Christmas and New Year's is the biggest of the year at WDW. Which would work better for your family as far as work/school go? There are pros and cons to every time at WDW....HTH!

It's really personal preference but having done both we really enjoyed Thanksgiving better. We had dinner at LTT which was neat with it's colonial atmosphere. As the previous poster mentioned you are also able to enjoy the holiday stuff as well. You can't go wrong either way, just be prepared for HUGE crowds.

I think given a choice, I would do Christmas. Either time will be busy, and while you can see most of the Christmas decorations and MVMCP around Thanksgiving, it's just still too hot. I love to go at Christmas. My family will be headed there next week to enjoy the decorations in the cooler weather!
