I've been pregnant, I've been with a 7 month old and a 5 month old. I have horrible pregnancies but I had a good time pregnant. I threw up for 9 months, but somehow I managed not to throw up in the parks. (In the hotel was a different story!) I loved going w/the 7 month old. I hated the 5 months old. Definitly much easier once the baby can sit up on their own. They your aren't having to hold on too tight.

Another thing to consider is the time of year. It looks like you'd be going in October which I think would be OK. I went in September w/the 5 month old and it was very, very hard to keep him hydrated. It was just too hot for a little one He was hot and miserable. I was miserable because he needed to be held constantly. At 7 months I could sit my dd on my lap and she was stable enough that I at least got a bit of a break. Plus we went in December and it was cold!

We took our son when he was 6 months old, and it was very easy. Just bring a nice stroller, and you can stash everything underneath it. He was on formula, too. Just make sure the baby is used to drinking formula at room temperature.

My vote is when pregnant - but I'd really pick neither. Bank the money and go when the baby is older. Then you can splurge on the trip to make things easier. (Can you tell I'm usually on the budget board? :teeth: )

I vote for pregnant. I was there when I was 21 weeks pregnant. We had a great trip! Of course, we also had a 20 month old with us, so we weren't going on anything very daring, anyways! You just have no idea what your baby will be like once born. We could easily have taken DD1 when she was 4 months old. As long as I was "wearing" her, which I did all of the time (!), she was happy as can be. But DD2 was another story. She was and is a lot more demanding and has very particular needs -- I'm a little worried about going with her in May when she'll be more than 2.5 years old!

I say while pregnant - I have gone to amusement parks both while pregnant, and with an infant, and it was much more enjoyable while pregnant. Way too many variables with an infant: weather/naps/feedings/noise, etc. I had no problems at that 20-25 week stages. Just map out in advance where the bathrooms are too. Frankly it was kind of relaxing/comforting for me to wait while others may go on a ride I couldn't. I knew it was for a fantastic reason, and didn't miss it at all.

I voted wait for the baby - we went when my little one was 5 months old - it was a breeze - he fell asleep in the stroller or baby carrier, and I was actually amazed at how many ride we were able to take him on. The big rides we just kid swapped. Either way - enjoy!!!

You didn't really have my choice...I'd go both times. Go before the baby (as long as you have an easy pregnancy) as a last hurrah for you before kids come along...Disney as adults is wonderful, as is Disney with your little ones...but they are totally different Disney vacations.

Have fun!

Well, we already have a three-year-old (who will be having her 4th birthday on our trip) so the "last hurrah" is a bit late. :rotfl:

I've done both. In fact, before the birth of my youngest, I went at 39 weeks. I will NEVER do that again. I was so tired, and my feet were so swollen, that I was in tears. We've been 4 times since her birth, and I can honestly say that I'd take a baby any day over doing it pregnant again!

We were weaning DD from formula to soy milk (tried whole milk at first but didn't tolerate it then). We'd just make up a few bottles before we left and put it in a insulated cooler. Satyed cool and when it was getting close to around the time she'd normally want something or it was a meal time..we'd take it out 15 mins. ahead and let it get room or whatever temp.

The poll seems to be missing an option... what happened to:
C. Both

I can't fathom taking a baby, but I did go while pregnant. I was still newly pregnant though--morning sickness hadn't hit yet. I went on every single ride in those parks and had a blast (well, except TOT--I didn't want to ride that one again!) :teeth: Given your two choices, definitely with the baby still IN. The PP who said they are much easier in than out was spot on. LOL

We just got back and took our 6 month old with us. I have to say she was the easiest one of all of them. She was pretty much just along for the ride. I carried her in the front pack most of the time and she slept in there when she was tired and wasn't any trouble at all. She was really easy to tote around in the front pack. I could take her on all the rides that didn't have a height restriction. The ones that did we did the riderswitch. The boys loved that because they got to ride twice as much. Now if you had said 4 yr old. I would say go while pregnant would be easier......mine was a piece of work. Not even Disney magic could straighten him out.
