I am in the process of planning our next trip and I am curious when is the best time to go. Last year we went WDW March 2-8 at the contemporary-garden view and had amazing weather. But I was playing around with dates and we can go value time Feb 1-8 staying at contemporary mk view and extra for about $200 less. Or we can go March 1-7 ctp, garden view for more. Is the weather bad during that time. When we went last year in March we had mid 70s and low 80s, one day of scattered rain and one cold day. Which was wonderful. What would yall do?

Thanks for the advice,
Sharron

Generally the weather in early Feb and March is about the same. It can get very cold either time if we get a cold front but it is usually in the 70's or 80's and dry. BUT...there are no guarantees for either time since it is "winter" and things can be unpredictable. As far as crowds go, I would think that early Feb would be less crowded because no spring breaks have started yet (and in March there are spring breaks early).

I would go in Feb since it is cheaper and will likely be less crowded (we have gone in early Feb twice or three times and have had nice trips and good weather).

I would personally go In Feb. as I would rather spend less money. The weather will still be OK. We are from Canada and have gone the first week of Jan. Yes there were some days that were 65 but we still had a great time in the pools. We weren't hot and swaety and didn't worry about sunburn. We have also gone mid- Feb. Again, no time will have predictable weather, but low-mid70's is pretty good. We had no complaints.
we did go mid March this year and yes, it was getting warmer- and truthfully, I found it a little TOO warm (I don't believe I said that !) but I was so turned off by the higher prices that I would never travel at prime time again.

long story short-go in FEB.(and have a great time.)

I would l ove to go in February low crowds cooler temps. Sounds like heaven

We went the first week of Feb. and loved it - still nice enough for DD to use the pool and there were hardly any lines. We would definitely recommend it.

I would go in February. Our anniversary is Feb. 5th, and we've gone to Disney for our honeymoon in 2005 and 1st anniversary in 2006. The weather is great. Sometimes it gets pretty cool, but it's not too bad. Usually we start the morning in long sleeves, then peel down to t-shirts for the afternoon. I would pick February because it would be less crowded too.

I think the superbowl is in Tampa on February 1st. May be worth checking into because it may increase crowd levels that week in February.

The weather is usually nice during both of those times, not usually very rainy. We usually go in the fall, but occasionally go in the spring. We went a few years ago in February, and then the next year in May. Now we go in October.

I have to say that the year we went in February, we actually happened to be in Sea World on the coldest day of the season. It was COLD. We were dressed in mittens and hats and coats. We even had to make a side trip to Wal Mart to buy our daughter a blanket to cover up with while riding in her stroller. The wind was whipping and chilled you to the bone.

Aside from that one freezing cold day due mainly to the wind, the other days were cold but enjoyable. I actually think that was the best trip weather-wise that we've been on. Sure, there was no swimming.....but we walked around Disney without sweating LOL! It was great!

Well Thanks everyone for all of your advice. It was very helpful. I think we are going to go ahead in February trip. My husband is convinced that since it is cheaper why not add on more days. So we are actually going for 8nights, 9 days at the Wilderness and deluxe dining for less money than last years trip at the Contemporary for 6n,7days and regular dining. So I am excited we are officially booked for Feb. 4-12, 2009.:cheer2:

Thanks Again,
Sharron
