When Will We See Summer AP Rates

I posed this question to a CM when I called this morning and she put me on hold and came back to tell me in about a month.

A month???!!! Seems as if they are forgetting about AP discounts!

My opinion is that because I already had a trip booked she was in a hurry to get to the next caller. I hope it's not as long as a month so I will be calling back periodically to make sure I don't miss the window of opportunity. I'm so frustrated with the discounts and erratic granting of pin codes that this will be our last trip if something doesn't give.

I don't think the phone CM's know anything more about when AP rates are going to be released than the rest of us. Maybe less even, since I doubt many of them look up historical release dates on Mousesavers like many DISers do.

Speaking of which, there's still hope. According to Mousesavers, AP rates in 2010 for June 4-August 14 weren't available to be booked until March 24. So maybe we'll hear something within the next week or two.

Yay! Hopefully it will be before April... But did you notice the release date in 2010 for AP discounts 1/1-2/11? It was first release 11/30/09. That's just a month before 1/1. Then it was "rereleased" on 1/1 for dates 1/1-6/3. I don't know if that was a misprint, and should have been 2/12-6/3. But even if it was, again only a month and change before the start date. Please tell me they won't wait until the beginning of May.

I have on my cal from last year that the AP rates came out on march 24th. i checked with a friend i work with and she had the same thing. she keeps everything like i do.

Question related to this - we have Thanksgiving week booked with AAA discount. I've never paid attention to this time of year before - is that week usually blacked out for AP discounts? AAA didn't black out any of the dates, so I got a discount for the whole week. Wondering if AP rates would be comparable for that week if they come out. Anybody have any info??

The next dates that I am guessing AP rates will come out is around March 27th (date the General Public Spring late summer discounts booking end) and April 16th (the end date for booking Spring AP rates).

Sure hope Disney doesn't wait til May! The way airfares are looking...that would kill any chance for a me and a lot of people to get down there (in June) on such short notice.

I would think as the time gets closer you will see AP rates come out.

On 1-11-11 I received an e-mail with a passholder pin for 40% off deluxes, 35% off moderated and value resorts. It had to be booked before the end of February. We already had a room only reservation for May so we had the AP pin applied.

The AP Pin was good till 12-24-11 with some weeks blacked out. I guessing because of the pin Disney will be offering AP rates through December.

How or why I got the pin, I can't answer. While I've gotten pins before this was the 1st time I got an AP PIN

I also got the AP Pin in my email and booked two rooms at the Boardwalk for the Food & Wine Festival in October. Unfortunately, there weren't any dates in July, otherwise I would have booked for the end of July as well.

I've been calling once a day find out when the discounts will be available. I'm not yet an AP holder but plan on purchasing one as soon as I know if my dates will be covered by some sort of discount. Answers vary from "call back in a few days" to "it's much too early to be looking for those dates." So frustrating.

I was checking out flight prices for a July and October trip and I'm sure hoping AP rates come out soon . . .our AP's expire in August and I'd like to get another trip out of them before I have to renew. But with the air prices the way they are and no discounts for AP holders out yet, it just might not be happening . . .

Oh yes, I remember that. I was pulling my hair out waiting for that Jan AP, they had released the Visa discount a full month earlier then the AP

Now they've released AP only to June Does this mean I have to wait till June for an August AP June 2 is when the current AP booking window ends.
It does seem like Disney is forgetting about their AP holders.

I've booked the GP rate for Aug, now doing the waiting game. Sigh

I think the next release of AP rates will be in May, I will be very surprised if any is released before that.
