when will we have 2007 packages????

i'm really getting very impatient. i'm trying to plan a march '07 trip and i can't believe that the packages aren't out yet for 2007. last year i planned a trip for jan '06 and i was quoting packages in like june. they must be making some serious changes to the packages if they are taking so long to release them. does anyone know FOR SURE when the 2007 packages will be out. I want to get quotes for different resorts.

I called on Wednesday and reserved 3 rooms at AKL for July '07. The CM said the packages will be out in August. I said, "So that could be in a week?" And she said "More like to 2-3 weeks", then quickly added, "But they never tell us much".

I was told the AAA rates for the rooms will probably be available at the same time, and I can modify to a AAA rate when they are out. She also put DME on the reservation, even though I told her I was not sure if I would use it. She said "if I put it on the reservation now, it will remain complimantary even if they start charging for it in the future". Now, what I don't know is if the rate I was quoted includes the expected 9/1/06 increase in the resort tax. I forgot to ask.

I swear...we are planning our honeymoon at Disney via AAA. I think we have the crapiest travel agent ever. She never returns my phone calls and is practically never in the office. She says that they keep switching her desk, but it's just horrible. She said that when she called Disney they told her September....and that was probably a couple weeks ago. She probably doesn't really know. I just want to get my trip planned. I'm impatient!!

I think it is interesting how late they're releasing the packages for 2007... They released the 2006 packages in early July 2005. I wonder if this is a reflection of perhaps bigger changes in the way packages are going to be offered for 2007.

Find someone else ASAP! If this is the travel agent service you are receiving now, imagine what will happen if you have a problem during your trip! Your wedding and honeymoon can be stressful to plan and a flaky travel agent is the last thing you need. Always remember that you are the customer. Pixie dust to you!

We are also going for our honeymoon, and I called Disney Travel and the cast member told me mid-end of september before the packages would be out. They have no ideas about any changes or rates as Disney does not tell them anything further.

I called yesterday and the CM I talked to said to call back in about 2 weeks, she said they were hoping to have something then because they have been having alot of people calling about 07 packages

Yes, that is interesting. We booked our March 2006 package on July 1, 2005.

Today we made Adrs for Jan/Feb 07, we don't even a booking of a package yet! We only have a basic package, this is unbelievable! Middle of August seems so far away!

Congrats to all of you who said you are going to WDW for your honeymoon. I was there last December for my wedding and honeymoon and it was just magical. I wouldn't have traded it for anything in the world. Please feel free to pm me anytime. I have lots of tips and things for honeymooning there...and lets face it, it is always fun to chat about weddings and disneymoons!!!

I know that isn't true because I booked our 2006 trip in July of 2005! I would like to be able to plan this trip. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately it is true. The packages are being released later this year than last year.

We will be there the 1-8th. We will probably stay at PC, but I'm still not sure yet.

I spoke to a CM who said that the packages probably won't be changing that much but that they have changed their computer system and that is what is holding the prices up.

I can't even make my ADR'S yet for our honeymoon at the start of feb still got a bit more to wiat. I am PRAYING if I call the min they open I can get the times and places we want. It feels like a big race trying to get these things.

I am impatiently awaiting the package rates also. I am frustrated because at first the CM's were telling me July, now it's August, I just hope they don't push it back anymore.
