I am not sure if they would extend it. See, the 5 for 3 ticket deal and the 5 for 3 hotel room deal were really good deals, and I think a lot of people jumped on those. But now, once summer is over, the hotels would typically drop to lower, off-peak rates anyway and they may not want to offer the 5 for 3 tickets deals as well, during the off-peak season. I think there have been a lot of crowds at the park this year at unexpected times, but then they dropped off when certain AP levels became blocked out. However, those AP holders will be able to go to the parks again soon enough for a block of time, and crowds may not drop off until deep into the holiday season when the AP holders are blocked again. It is hard to say what is going to happen.
Of course, it appears that Disney is doing even more for Halloween this year by adding the Space Mountain Halloween overlay as well as the popular Haunted Mansion Holiday and other Halloween-ish things. October was already super-crowded last year, so I have a feeling DLR is anticipating the same crowd levels or higher for this coming October. And if they are expecting high crowds, chances are they will not be offering those good ticket and/or hotel deals during what they think is going to be a super busy time, since they already offered the 5 for 3 deals for quite a bit of time this year.
But who knows? Maybe DLR will extend the ticket deals. I know that right now, according to the AP hotel availability calendar, October is going to be fairly expensive at the DLR hotels, so they may hold those rates for a while, until they see what kinds of bookings they are getting for October, Even the PIN code hotel offers I have received (and there have been several) all seem to end in the last week of September. So far, there are no good discounts or PIN offers at all for October.
