When will the Easter crowds disappear?

Last year we arrived 8 days after Easter. The first day was pretty crowded, but the rest was pretty smooth. This year we are arriving 3 days after Easter for 9 days. So, I know that by the end of the trip it should thin out. With travel being down anyway, how many days after Easter should be really busy?

It will probably be really busy for the week after Easter. Every time we have gone during Easter this has been the case. Also, I know that MA schools have their spring break this year during that week (April 21-25) and usually NH has the next week. Keep in mind that Easter is late his year. I would think that after April 27 it will start to thin out.

Good news for me, I arrive on the 28th.

Generally, you have extremely huge crowds through the Thursday after Easter (and if you found it crowded 8 days after Easter last year, just multiply the crowd size you thought was crowded by at least 2 times). It gets a little better on Friday, and Saturday brings noticeable relief though still quite crowded. By Sunday, you are basically out of Easter time and into crowded but manageable. This year carries unpredictability as Disney is at least claiming that its Easter time bookings are down. Also, there will be grad nights at MK on the Friday and Sat after Easter which could keep the crowd levels up more than normal for those days.

They should start to thin out the 2nd Monday after Easter. Most breaks will be over by then. I would say, about the 5th of May.

Have fun... it was really crowded last week, so I am thinking that the weeks surrounding Easter should be good and packed!

I just wanted to add that NH's school vacation is April 21-25 and MA is usually the week before, unless that has changed....but NH is definitely this week and we will be there hoping crowds will be managable too

Nope - we are in Ma and our vaca is also 21-25, so we will be wading the crowds with you!!

Just wanted to claify that Ma spring break is April 21-25. My hubby is a teacher here in Ma so we know the schedule by heart!! LOL!! I thought that NH usually has theirs the next week, but I guess I was wrong, NH has the same week. No, we will not be there this year. We usually are there during spring break, but our daughter started college this year and I don't want to go without her. Actually we just came back two weeks ago from a short trip to Fort Lauderdale, not the same as WDW, but wonderful nontheless.

I'm hoping with all this war stuff, crowds won't be as bad this year? If not, I guess I might just have to stand in line for that 2 hours to get on to Alien Encounter, I adore that ride!
