I am in California so I just want to confirm, is the parade airing from 5-7pm on ABC? I never knew it aired at night. Hasn't it always been in the morning.

I was surprised by that too when I saw it listed on their website this morning. I remember it airing in the morning or at least mid day when I was a kid, but thought that it aired later in the day last year. Why the airing at different times , sports? I would prefer to watch it in the morning and not at dinner time.

Yes, we definitely would definitely prefer that too! I thought I was misreading what I was seeing, I have never heard of a parade airing at night. That's too bad, its fun to have it on while we have our Christmas breakfast. Maybe that is what happened last year, we completely missed it last year. Is there a place to download the parade if we do miss it? The evening time may not work for us.

The reason the Disney Parks Christmas Parade is screened in Pacific Time in the afternoon is that ABC carries a basketball game live to all time zones. So the parade is running at 5pm out there this year, except for some reason in LA, where it's running at 9am.

Thanks for the info! I was worried because it's usually on at 9 here, and I kept checking the guide and couldn't find it. Guess I didn't check far enough later!

Hate it starting at noon. Really sucks. Have to DVR it and watch it later, which kind of ruins the point. We've always enjoyed watching it on Christmas MORNING each year before lunch with family... now it is smack in the middle of it all! And all ABC is showing is old episodes of kids shows and junk in our market - not like there's something "important" showing to block the parade... bah humbug, ABC, bah humbug.

i usually get to watch it on cbc in canada in the am for the 2 hrs and then catch the last hr on abc...not this year....also kinda disappointed with no regis and kelly.

I missed it. Was hoping it would come on at 9 or 10 like it normally does. We were at his parents at lunchtime and forgot to put it on there. What a bummer. I should lose my Disney Fan card.

I live in Vegas so according to our guide it was going to be on 9-11am. But it was never on, they showed Saturday morning cartoons. I'm hoping it will be on at 5pm.

We are actually on-the-road to Grandma's mid-morning at Christmas...
I was glad to see that, since it didn't start till later, we didn't have to miss it!!!

Didn't you just love Jackie Evancho's little jumping with happiness as she complete her performance, and then just smiled completely ear-to-ear as she said, "thank you - Merry Christmas!"

Most excellent show, as always...
Nobody does it like Disney!!!!
