When will the dates for Macy's Christmas & Grinchmas be announced?

Before they removed the information. They had announced the dates of breakfast with the grinch and announced that Manhiem (spelling) Stramroller would be performing a concert on each saturday, dec 4, 11 and 18.

Could that have been last year's info?

Yes, I can confirm what ThemeParkGuy says! I clicked on the link that he provided as a reply to my OP a couple of days ago.

There were actual 2010 dates and also the information about the Grinchmas Breakfast and Concert info too. I know we're not going crazy...I saw 2010 info, for sure! :upsidedow

According to their tour schedule, Mannheim Steamroller are in Minneapolis on Dec. 4, Bismark on Dec. 11 and St. Louis on Dec. 18.

They have two touring ensembles. The other is in Pittsburgh the 4th, Michigan on the 11th and Indiana on the 18th.

Someone had their info wrong. That's probably why the site had to change. Unless they've got a third ensemble?

The dates are on the website, but no concert info yet.

All new holiday village! Wonder what that is? I remember them talking about that on a survey a while back.

Darn it! We'll be travelling to Universal on the 11th, and heading back home on the 18th. Unless Manheim Steamroller is going to start their concert at 10pm on the 11th, we won't be seeing them. :sad1:

Oh well... it's awesome to hear that there'll be a new holiday village! Will this be replacing something old, or in addition to what's been offered in the past?

Also, is the Grinch breakfast fun for teens and adults, or is it mainly for the little kids?

Sounds like a brand new addition. I wonder where and what it is!

I'm dying to do it so can we make it for the adults please?

So good to find something out! We'll be there from Dec.26-29 with a marching band, they'll perform in one of the Grinchmas parades. Gald to see the sphere will be operating, we've never been able to see it in action!

The village sounds interesting! We usually go down between Christmas and New Years but we will be there this year from 12/9 - 12/18 - trying to do it a little different this year. We will also be seeing HP for the first time - I'm starting to get excited seeing posts about Christmas!!!!! This will also be the first time we are there for the Christmas concert - can't wait to see/hear Mannheim Steamroller.

Yay!! I've been waiting for the announcement for the dates! I just emailed to try to get the character breakfast on dec.5, I love the grinch!! Does anyone know if grinchmas play and the macy's parade is performed everyday? I don't want to miss them. The macy's parade is at universal and grinchmas is at islands of adventures right?

Yes...Macy's is at the Studios and Grinchmas is at Seuss Landing in IOA and both are performed daily.

We will be there on Dec 2nd. Do you think I will get to see the decorations just not the shows and the parade?

Yes...decorations go up in early November so you will see everything decorated at both parks.

Should I rearrange my days to be there on the 4th? Do you think it will be uber crowded then?

Hi everyone! We are planning to be at Universal/Islands December 10 -12, first visit. Is there ever a specific time schedule posted on the website for parades and concerts?

Thanks!!

I don't remember if the schedule is posted on the website or not but since you will be in the parks those days, the schedule will be on the park maps. The Saturday evening concerts at the Studios usually start around 8pm and the parade starts around 4pm I think.

I just called Universal to ask if more information is available. They said the website would be updated sometime after Halloween and that if the times were similar to last year, the following would be true this year as well.

Macy's Parade approximately 1 hour prior to closing.

Mannheim Steamroller concert would occur immediately following park closing, just remain in park.

I also asked about cost for Grinch Character breakfast - $19.95+tax/person, times are 8, 9, and 10am. Has anyone ever done this? Is the food good? Sounds fun, but travelling with teens. We are doing Chef Mickey's at Disney the following weekend (because Mom wants to)...wondering if this one will be as much fun! :)
