Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone can tell me how long I'll have to wait until I can book for October 2015?I'm erring towards us staying in a villa (have found one we like) but would be tempted if there was a good value package in either an on or off-site hotel (do any of the disney rooms have a separate sleeping area for he kids-more like a suite I guess with cooking facilities?) esp if included disney dining (although I have no clue how this works if anyone can enlighten me?)

I'm worried about booking a villa now and then the flights not fitting in with dates/being too expensive when they are released 11 months before.Plus I prefer to pay a deposit for the whole thing then pay off bit by bit.

When do big tour operators like virgin/Travelocity/disney website etc release dates and prices for this time of year usually?thanks in advance.

Flights are usually 11 months in advance, but we booked a package with VH 14 months in advance. I'm not sure when the booking window opens, though.

You sure are planning ahead!! :)

Yes I know - very forward planning but desperate to go and that's the earliest time we can afford and for the kids to be a decent age (7 and 4) plus I'll need that long to save the money up for it!I guess I'll just keep going with the savings for the moment and keep checking every so often so I can hopefully nip in there and book asap!

We book are packages hoilday back in April this year for September/October 2014 so start looking around that time next year.

Thanks talbot - I was guessing it would be around that time.Who did you book with/where are you staying?all the villas seem to be non-specific with packages I've found eg bronze florida villas etc which puts me off booking a package if we can't know the exact villa we're going to.hope you understand what I mean?So I guess if I decide to go for a villa then I can book it but then I'll have to wait until 11 months before to book the flights?!

We booked with travel city direct, we staying at a hotel called rosen Inn at pointe Orlando on idrive.

I booked around 18 months in advance when I went in October 2012. I booked my entire trip with Val Ramsay who is a Travel Counseller - she was superb. We flew with Virgin and stayed onsite at Old Key West in a 1 bed villa with full cooking facilities, balcony, etc. Absolutely fabulous. We also had free Disney dining which we all thoroughly enjoyed. My trip report link is in my signature - the pre-trippie includes a breakdown of all our costs.:goodvibes

Prices for next oct came out around end of april

We stay on disney at old key west resort in a one bed villa too as fantastic value and with free dining that could be on its a good saving

We booked at 18 months out with VH for our last visit - my countdown ticker seemed to last forever but it soon came around :)

Thanks for replies guys.Joolz where did you get Val's details from if you don't mind me asking? For those who booked packages with the likes of Virgin etc did you go for packages with hotels rather than villas? I was thinking a villa would be better for us then if the kids are up at stupid times due to jet lag then they can use the private pool no problem, and less restrictive on where to eat etc, also hoping to do some parks other than disney too so don't feel the need to be restricted to on-site accommodation.

Val advertises on the Dibb. Here is a link to her fb page: https://www.facebook.com/#!/ValRamsayTC?fref=ts She was great - she booked all of my ADR's, BBB, Mnsshp, MVMCP. I could not recommend her highly enough and will be booking with her again in January. You only ever have contact with her, rather then a nameless person at a call centre and she becomes a friend, not just a TA!

I have 3 children and we opted to stay onsite so that we could pop back for a rest midday. The pools were fab and the girls found other kids to play with. Free dining was amazing as we managed to eat at places that would have been beyond our budget if we had stayed offsite.
