when will DVC HAwaii go on sale?

IF it is announced to open in 2011, when would DVC-H start selling. Trying to decide if I do an add-on at AKV next year or wait til DVC-Hawaii. We want to go in 2011 and I assume we would have to own there to get in during summer.

I do not know when sales of DVC Hawaii go on sale, I would imagine 2010 (early), so maybe 2 years from now...
As for owning to get in to DVC Hawaii in the summer, I would maybe doubt that... I think you could easily trade into hawaii, or rent pts for it as well...

I would like to go in the summer for sure!!! I cannot wait for DVCHawaii!!

My 2 cents: I would not make decisions based upon something that has not even been built yet. If you want your add-on to AKV, I would go for it and wait and see about HI.

The main reason is that anything can change. Disney's plans can fall through. But you know that AKV is available in the here and now.

I know that everyone is looking forward to this new addition in the islands, but it is going to be quite a while before anyone knows anything concrete about when it will be for sale, etc.

If sales of a new resort start 6-7 mos. before it opens, when could one make a 7 mos. reservation? Lets say the resort opens Dec. 2009 (GCV predicition). If sales start say July, 2009, and if I want to travel Sept. 2010, could I make that request in the normal 7 mos. timeframe of Mar. 2010? I know this sounds confusing!!

I know AKV opened after the 7 month window but had a short time where only members could book there. I'm thinking that SSR, BCV & VWL all opened at or after the 7 month window. I'm thinking SSR had a short home resort window as well but not BCV or VWL. Maybe others have a better memory than I for this question.

my guide told me today that its about twenty four months away from the sales date. which leads me to believe that that iis February 2010
