When will Disneyland tickets arrive?

Hi! We are planning our first trip to Disneyland next month. We purchased room/tickets through a TA and paid off the balance a couple of weeks ago. When can we expect our park tickets to arrive (via mail)? We are accustomed to the magic bands of DW so this is a little different for us and I just want to make sure we have everything we need on arrival. I have asked our TA but, unfortunately, he has not been very helpful in this regard (first said we would probably get them on arrival, then that they may come in the mail). I will continue to address this but was just hoping someone could shed some light on the DL process. Thanks!!

depends on exactly when next month you leave. I believe Disney send out packages 21 days before a trip(someone please correct me if i am wrong). And if your trip is less than that then you will get them when you arrive.

If your TA works through the Walt Disney Travel Company, they send the tickets out 21 days before your arrival date, so you should get them a couple of weeks before your trip, or as mpadilla89 said, they will be will call if you book within that time frame, or if you are coming from overseas.

Okay, just to clarify, they should be arriving by mail - not when we get there? My TA most recently told me he thinks we just get them when we check in but everything I've tried to search says they come in the mail. He's not really checking because he thinks we get them on arrival and, when I contact Disneyland, they won't give me any answers - telling me to contact my TA. We leave in 2 weeks (and booked it 10 months ago) and I'm getting antsy. Thanks again!

The only time I used a TA, the CMs on the phone would give me info, they just wouldn't do any changes or add special requests for me. Also, our 'packet' went to the TA and we picked it up there.

I'd suggest you contact your TA again and tell them that they need to call DL and clarify. Get pushy and insist. A good TA shouldn't 'think', he should know. And if he doesn't know, he should find out. Remember, he works for YOU and depends on repeat traffic and word of mouth for his business!

But also, remember that if you're staying onsite and don't get your packet, it can all be handled at the hotel front desk although it can be time consuming. Just have the credit card you paid for your package with and a photo ID. If you're staying offsite, guest services can handle your tickets the same way. And I'd be calling the offsite hotel to confirm your reservation.

Exactly this is your package. your TA should know exactly when and how you are receiving it. I understand when you book so close to when you are leaving but having booked 10 months before your tA should be able to give you a clear answer. Your package is either in the mail right now or its not.

We have had packages that had our tickets at the hotel when we checked in- we stayed on site. If you are not on site they likely would not have your tickets at check in. You could probably call and check but ours was through Disneyland travel.

I didn’t know they mail it to the TA sometimes!

Yep. It was the TA at CSAA (Auto Club) Travel. It was the only time I've used one for a Disney trip so I don't know if that was CSAA specific or if it happens with other TAs. We booked about 5 months in advance, so it wasn't a 'short notice' trip. This was about 5 years ago when Auto Club had a partnership and did incredible deals on packages. Less than WDTC itself. The only thing I can figure is maybe WDTC 'batch mailed' packets to CSAA offices as they probably did a brisk business in packages.

Your TA should find out quickly if the package will be mailed to them or if they will be ready to pick up at the hotel when you check in. The package is delivered via UPS and someone 18+ must sign for it. If they've booked Disneyland packages before, they would know this - not just guess. As another OP stated, it is mailed 21 days prior to your arrival date usually to the agency and it's up to the TA to advise if they're going to forward it to you. If the TA didn't give Disney alternate instructions (like pick up at hotel), then the package is mailed to the agency.
