When Will 2012 Merchandise be Available?

Does anyone know when the 2012 dated merchandise becomes available for purchase? We are doing a surprise trip the first week of January for the kids, and have budgeted some of our Christmas money to get some 2012 merchandise because they know the trip will be "sometime in 2012...." (They are assuming summer!)

I have been watching on Disneystore.com, but I have only seen the 2011 stuff for now.

at the parks i saw stuff out the first week in december but in limited places

It usually comes out around the first or second week of December in the parks, not sure about online.

I know after Thanksgiving they start discounting the 2011 dated merchandise.

I just know if you go in December you only seem to find merchandise dated the next year. Kinda ticked me off because I want stuff with the year I actually went.

We went to Disneyland in October (mid) and I was able to buy that year's stuff on clearance!! So they probably start the next year's around Nov??

We always go the week after Thanksgiving and always see stuff for the new year starting to show up then.

That was our experience too. We were there the 2nd week of Dec in '09 and couldn't get our traditional year pin to add to the kids' collection because the '09s had all been cleared out to make room for 2010 merchandise already.

I will add to this one thing you get get say 2011 merchendise on line I did this before my 2010 trip since im a pooh size person and it is really really hard to find my size in general. maybe plan ahead this is why disney started putting some park merchendise on line to make peoples trip more magical you can wear you shirts there
