When will 2006 open up?

Now that the storms have passed, hopefully for good, when will DISNEY start taking 2006 reservations???

We rebooked on board last week and wanted summer of 06 but took Dec. 05 and will change once dates come in. Were told by Donna on the ship that it should be another month!

AllSeas Travel is taking names for the wait list on 2006 dates. They seem to think that it will be in the next couple of weeks.

Hopefully my request for a SPH will come through!

Donna told me a few weeks as well. I booked 12/3/05 Western Caribbean, but will probably move it to 2006 later on (I do like the idea of an off-season trip when the ship's decorated for the holidays and no hurricanes are pending, but I also have two other cruises booked for 2005!).

There was conversation earlier about not being able to move dates and keep the discount and OBC. Has anyone asked Donna about that?

I did tell Donna my situation and explained that I wanted to move the 2005 booking once 2006 itineraries came out. She specifically stated I'd be able to keep the 10% discount and shipboard credit. Also, last year I originally booked my 2004 cruise for November and moved it to September while retaining the credit.

Actually though, this does raise an additional question - anyone know how many times or how long you could continue pushing out a booking and keep the credit? For example, what if I'm not really sure when I want to cruise DCL again but want to keep the booking "open" with the credit, so I just keep changing the sailing before the full payment date?

When I sat down with Donna last week on the ship, I told her I wanted June 2006. She said she was booking everyone who wanted the western for 2006, on 12/3/05 and as soon as the new rates came out (In about a month) I could just call and switch and keep my 10% discount and on board credit!

That is awesome about her telling you to just book any date and move later.

I have one booking 'active' that I booked on Oct, 2003. It is currently scheduled for November, 2005. I may even move it again to the summer of 2006!

When we rebooked with Danielle while aboard the Magic this past June, she indicated that the dates would open up at the end of the year. So, we are presently booked for December 2005 and will move the bookings to the summer of 2006 when they open up. I have called DCL several times since we got home and the answer is always the same "The bookings will open up at the end of the year." HTH
