When we attend the annual meeting...

MUST we call ahead to reserve a spot? I'm not sure we will attend or not, but I was wondering if we couldn't if we don't call ahead.

I dont think it's 100% mandatory, but they do ask you to. It may be just so they can be prepared for the "masses" that show up!

They use the calls/RSVPs to plan the room size, refreshments and number of chairs.

My advice is to call if you think you might attend - the call does not obligate you.

Better to have a room too big with too many chairs as opposed to one too small with standing room only!

I know from personnal experience that it's OK not to call ahead. Last year I wanted to go to the Annual Meeting of a resort that's not our home-became our favorite after we bought points elsewhere. So I didn't dare call ahead since technically, you're only supposed to go to your home resort Annual Meeting. But it's fine-in fact, you can just walk into the meeting room without any questioning.
