When to visit WDW?

We are thinking of going to WDW in January or February. Is there any time less crowded than any others?

We kind of thought the week of 1/28/06 might be good.

Any tips to avoid the crowds?

Jan, Feb and right at the beginning of March are good times to avoid the crowds, except for Pres. Day and MLK weekend. Your date should be fine.
We went the beginning of March, and the lines were very low, the temps were perfect (mid-70's), no rain and the parks were open later. We'll probably do that next time, but if now I would try for Jan or Feb.
Can't count on swimming weather tho. Kind of dicey about that time, but alot of the pools are heated.
