I'm so excited. I'm leaving for the World in two weeks!!!

Ok. Now that I got that our of my system....

I wanted to upgrade our park tickets to 10 day nonexpiration. Should I call and do that before we leave or can I do that when we get there? If I can do it when we are at the World, do I need to do it before we first use our tix? We have the MYW hopper with dining.

Thanks!!!

Yes!!! You can upgrade at the Transportation and Ticket Center, But you MUST do it before you ever use your tickets at any of the parks or they will not adjust them. I am not sure about trying to do it from home right now, because we have not tried that. Hope this helps some :thumbsup2

Thanks, I'm glad I asked. I do know that I can call and do it. It might be easier to do that than try to make our way to the TTC. We're staying at the Beach Club, so our first day will probably be at MGM or EPCOT.

We upgraded one time before at the TTC and she stressed as long as the ticket had not been used yet, so you are safe.

Actually, with the MYW tickets you can upgrade the tickets any time within the first 14 days of use. You will pay the difference between what the original ticket was worth and what the gate price is for the upgraded pass. You can do it at any park's Guest Services or at the lobby concierge.

However, if you have a package and you want to get the pre-purchase savings, have your TA make the changes to your reservation. There should be no change fee since you are actually spending more money. You will need to pay the price increase at the time that the change is made since you're inside that 45-day window when the final payment on your package should have been made.

Thanks everyone. I called today and did the upgrade. Since I knew we wanted to do it, I decided to just do it in advance - one less thing to worry about later. It was an additional $312 to upgrade from a 6 day park hopper to a 10 day no expiration park hopper. Now, I'll just have to worry about not losing the tickets when we get home!

Make photocopies of the backs of your tickets. Keep the photocopies in a safe place, separate from your tickets. If you lose or misplace the tickets, Disney can reissue new ones at Guest Relations, using the information from the ticket's reverse side to track down how many days and features were on it.
