Who do we tip?

Do we tip the one who parks the car.
The one who brings the car?

What should I tip?

Is the one who takes the luggage out of the car the same person that takes the luggage to the room?

If so, how much do we tip?

If not, do we tip both and how much each?

How soon is everything brought to the room?

After a long trip, 1400 miles and a stop on the way, our van is not to organized anymore. I am sure I would leave a few items we need in it. At VWL it seems that the Valet is farther than the self parking to the Villas. Should I just park it myself if I am going to need to go back to the van?

Thanks tigger

If you have anything of value left in the car I would self park. Valet parking for a normal drop off and park you tip only on picking up the car-that is standard. Now when you are arriving at a resort you want to get out those $5.00 bills give one to the person that takes your luggage inside and 2 more $5 bills to the person that brings your luggage up, also if you are going to leave your car to be valet parked with stuff in it, I would tip the person that you leave the car with. That is against normal propcedure but in your case with a car full of stuff I would just to play it real safe. Like I said at the beginning if you are going to valet park a car have nothing in it that can be taken--end of story. That is why my cars have special keys that will not open up the trunk that you give to valet parking people-to prevent from going through your trunk.

We tip $3 on both ends. Everyone seems most appreciative - except the GF valets are the laziest I have ever seen; they act like you are doing them a favor.

We do $2 on both sides of the deal - never had a problem with things being taken out of the car

The WL/VWL valets seem to be the snappiest to me in dress, attitutde and outlook - they do a great job

thanks
