When to take National car back to MCO

What time do we need to leave POP to drop the car off at National at the airport for a 9:30 am flight (Sunday morning in early December). Do I leave at 7:00? Earlier?

I want to book a car so I need to know the drop off time (7:30?)

How long does it take to get to the airport? Drop off the car? Go throught security?

Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated.

We always give ourselves 2 hrs at the airport. You never know with security lines plus you have to take the monorail/tram thing over to the gates once you go through security.

Then, we usually give ourselves 1/2 hr to get to the airport. So to answer your question... 2 1/2 hrs...

your plan sounds good...

you might want to "over" fill the night before you do not have to worry about stopping for gas in the morning on the way to the airport....the hess stations on disney property seem to have competitive rates

at the airport you could if you are travelling more than one person.....drop you other passengers off at curbside check in before you return your car....the "loop" at MCO is quite easy ....just make sure you pay attention to the over head signage after you have dropped your passengers off...you will be looking for Rental Car Return....for A side National is on the second level...for B side National is on the ground level

security volume varies by the hour and by the day....it usually takes us about 20 minutes on the average...you might observe which entrance to security ( A side or B side ) has less length and use that one....

just make sure you get on the right TRAM for your departure gate.....once again check overhead signage for your gate NUBMER
