When to send invitations?

I know I've asked this before (sorry, i can't find my own thread!)...

When did you send your invitations? My DFTW is in late January and I'm thinking of sending mine out the first week of October and requesting a reply back by mid-November....is this too early/too late??

Our wedding is in early Jan. We are planning on sending our invitations out early Oct, and requesting a response back by early Nov.

We sent ours around April 15th (I forget the exact date) with a response date of May 15 for a June 25th wedding. I wanted to make sure we had time to track people who hadn't RSVP'd down before the payment deadline to Disney.

You would be surprised how many people we had who announced they were coming to the wedding even just 2 weeks out!

We sent ours really early but based it on when we had to pay Disney. Since we had to pay Disney in full 30 days out, we give ourself two weeks before that for the deadline and then sent the invitations 5 weeks or so prior to that. Before that, most everyone had gotten the save the date and the newsletter to let them know what was going on so they could plan in an adequate amount of time.

we are sending our out 8 weeks before the wedding with the responses but 3 weeks before the wedding

we're mailing our invites about 2 and 1/2 months before the wedding, with an RSVP date of about 6 weeks before the big day..so that gives people about a month to send the response card back to us

i my opinion its not too early. but then again i sent our invitations out 8 months before our wedding with and rsvp 6 months out. we wanted to know and add additons once we saw the numbers. Plus we got to add in guests for those who were originally travleing alone.
