When to rent a car??

We just made flight arrangements (love those dividend miles!!!) for a trip to WDW next April. When is the best time to make car rental arrangements? Do they give promotions to those who book extremely early (like now) or should I hold out for a while and see what deals come out? I'd really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

It really is a coin toss, you can book now and continue to look for a better rate.

I would wait until the first of next year. If you are a member of AAA or warehouse clubs check to see if they have any codes for the company you are interested in.

I booked in january for my Nov/Dec trip! It was pretty high but they don't require a CC so I just kept checking for a better rate and when I got one, I booked it and went and canceled my previous one.

Well, the beginning of March National's rates went way down and I got a Full size for a week for $111. TOTAL including all fees and taxes!

As far as I'm concerned, the second I have my flights I start looking and book the cheapest. Then I check almost everyday for a better rate.

I got this amazing rate almost nine months before my trip! I highly doubt I'll do any better!

Me too, you did wicked well, and I hope my rate drops to about your level. It would be nice to dream.
