How soon do you register for gifts before you wedding? I would just hate to register for things and the items are no longer available when people go to buy them..

Thanks

We actually registered the week we got engaged and we're glad we did. We put A LOT on our registry and we already got quite a few things as engagement gifts!

We had planned to wait til about 4 months prior to getting married but quite a few of our family members have already asked if we are registered so they can see for christmas time as well...but we aren't sure if we will or not!

I've already registered. Quite a few people have already asked me if I did or not. They're using that as my Christmas list too. :thumbsup2

I registered in March. I am getting married in February. Things do become unavailable at times but you can always change things on your list and you should also keep looking to see if new items become available.

I registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Target. I went to the store once and did the gun then I kept adding and updating online.

The rule of thumb is 6 months out, but, as others have said, you need to keep an eye on it to update items that are discontinued or have already been purchased for you.

We registered in October for our July wedding. We had some requests from family members to do it before Christmas so they could get us some gifts. There wasn't too much on there to start, but I kept adding things. I wanted to have it mostly done by the time our shower invites went out (Mid-March).
