I planned on going to WDW 2nd week of December, but now that we are taking the older kids with us (we have 4 kids that are adults then we have a 4 year old) I am thinking that I would like to have both water parks to be open. So Christmas or waterparks? My 3 choices are
1) Oct 26- Nov 3 (ahh my Birthday is Nov 2nd! and waterparks! no Christmas :sad2:)
2) Nov 10 - 16th
3) Dec 7 - 14th (my dream time - Christmas! but only 1 waterpark)

This would be 2013, if we go on my bday, we will stay an extra day

IDk, just looking for others input on this

We've been there a few times in Nov and LOVE IT! But I think the temperature can be a bit iffy for water parks. Sure, we've done the pool for a few hours but once we got out we were not looking to get wet again.

IF you really want waterparks go earlier. And I agree the the PP that F&W is always a good idea!!!

If you want the full holiday effect go later. And we love being in WDW during the holidays. Everything is festive and spectacular!!!

Tough decisions, right? LOL

Go for your birthday. It's a bit warmer and you'll get to do the waterparks. October and November are beautiful times to go. Not too hot, not too cold. We were there the first week in December in 2010 and FROZE. BUT, the decorations are so beautiful there at Christmas. And the Christmas party is a blast.

Tough decision. . . I'm no help. . . there's never a bad time for Disney. ;)

Anything can happen. I wouldn't base your trip on being able to go to the water parks. It could be freezing in November, so you don't go at all, and really warm in December, so you make good use of the one water park that is open.

If I was in your position, I would stick with my December plans. Then again, I've never actually been to a water park.

I'd go in December. Weather-wise, that area of Florida is its own monster. LOL! We were up there in October last year and there was a bit of a cold snap that we didn't expect driving up from Miami. It wasn't unpleasant (It was great to walk the parks in cooler weather) but, for me, it wasn't pool weather.

Typhoon Lagoon closes on Oct 28 for seasonal maintenance. TL reopens and BB closes on Jan 6.

I agree with this :thumbsup2. If you've never been in December, I would choose that time to go as Disney during the holidays is amazing :santa:. If you've been that time of year before and the water parks are important to you, I'd go at a warmer time to be able to utilize the waterparks. But with that said, I would go with the thinking that there is a possibility of it being to cold for the water parks as weather in Florida can be iffy any time of year. Good luck and happy planning :goodvibes.

Pop Warner will be going on during that week in December so I'd probably nix that one

I'd go your birthday IF I could go to MNSSHP as well. If that wasn't possible I'd try and see if I could rearrange my Dec dates and go Nov 30-Dec 7 or something

Nov 10-16 or Dec 7-14. P.S. Nov 10-16 will have way less crowds then Dec 7-14:thumbsup2
