when to go?

Hi there! would some one please be able to help...when would you say is the best time to go? i was planning a trip for end of march 2011- beginning of april but have been advised this is spring break time? so we are now looking at may 2011? we visited last year end of april but this is easter 2011? please help!

I would never, ever go again during Spring Break. Once went in late Feb-Mid March. Was quite for first two weeks, but towards the end of the holiday there was a MASSIVE influx of Spring Breakers.

For example, The Tower of Terror ride was 10 minute wait during our first week, but was 90+ minute wait after the schools were let out for Spring Break.

In my experience Easter and Spring Break are equally as busy - just with a different 'class' of crowd.
Spring break is lots of teenagers, running around in groups with matching t-shirts. The queues for the rides are not only long but can also be quite raucous - with singing, shouting and a fair amount of queue jumping too.
In easter it is more families getting away for a few days, with a lot more Brits as a lot of people chose the school break to take their holidays.
If easter definately falls during the time you can go you may just have to resign yourself to the fact that it will be busy - but decide who you would prefer to be surrounded by

Easter the parks are packed for about 4 days or so, but other than that the crowds are manageable as we found last year.

Overall April is one of the best months to go, depending on when Easter falls, the weather is perfect, lovely sunshine with the occasional breeze.

I would personally either go in April oustide Easter period or as you say in May when weather will be slightly hotter but crowds not that heavy.

I agree with JohnnySharp. April is lovely and is my favorite time to go (unless this October persuades me otherwise).

We arrived on Easter Saturday last year, avoided the MK over the Easter weekend and then picked our parks as usual. It was very busy and don't know if it is just because it is what we are used to, but we were never unable to do things that we had wanted to do. After about the 4th or 5th day, the crowds subsided significantly.
