So, we are planning our next trip.
DD has bday in November and we are thinking of going then.
I am a bit worried about weather.
I don't care so much about the free entrance on DD's bday, but I would like her to get the button and the "extra" attention that comes with having your bday while there.
So, other than not being able to have the free entrance, if we go in October can we still celebarte DD's bday?
Is weather better in October or does it make no difference?

You can get a birthday button any day you want by asking for one. Some people feel you should only wear it on your actual birthday. I say if you are celebrating your birthday (on whatever day) wear the button. It's your birthday celebration day. (As you already know, you can only get the free entry on the actual day as DOB proof is required for free entry.)

Weather: I would say that October is nice than November. Late October / early November is when we start to get some rain.

HTH,
Dreams

Thank you.
We would either go October 20th to 25th, or November 10th to 15th.
So, do you think weather would be that much different?

I hooked up with my 15-year-old niece and her three friends in May. They ALL had birthday buttons on. Whenever they come to DLR they just split up and go into separate stores on Main Street and ask for the buttons. I do not think the buttons have any special privileges, but it was funny when we got on a ride and the CM smiled and said "Happy Birthday" to the first teen, then Happy Birthday to the second, and by the third teen they smelled a rat. :)

When I was with DH at DLR in Sep. 07 for my b-day, I wore my b-day button one of the days I was there. When I was talking to a CM about my birthday trip she asked where my button was and I told her I left it at the hotel. She told me I should have worn it the whole trip since it was a birthday trip. So, I say, WEAR IT the whole time. :thumbsup2

Typically Oct. dates will be nicer. My DDs bday is Oct. 21 and weather doesn't usually change until the week after her birthday. It's funny on her bday she's usually in shorts and a t-shirt and by Halloween we are in pants and long sleeves.

ETA: Nov. 11 is Vets Day. There should be longer hours that day (and maybe day before) but also more crowds.

Thank you for the info.
And thanks for the Nov 11 reminder.

October dates probably will be better, especially if you're staying in a hotel & want to go swimming in the pool!
