Just thought i'd asked for an opinion here. when do you think would be a better time to go. I work in a school system so my times are limited and maybe the worst options.
which times to go do you think would be better?
february or april school vacation
or
at the end of june??

I've only been at the end of January and beginning of February. I HIGHLY recommend you attempt to go in February if at all possible. It was slightly miserable when we were there during spring vacation in March and then later in April. Good luck!

February can be cold here in Central Florida. If you really want to spend alot of time swimming or in the pools I would recommend April. However if you like it a bit cooler (e.g., jacket weather) then February is less crowded than April.

Have a great trip!

Of those choices, Feb. The other 2 times are going to be crowded. Might be on the cool side.

We went in Feb 06 (2/6-2/13), and the weather was great! It was maybe 60-65 in the early am (we got out every morning by 7am), but by the time park openings came around..it was shorts and tees for the rest of the day (70-85). We also went the last week in Feb 05 (2/28-3/6), same results. No rain at either time, and low crowds. We're going 02/05-02/12 this year, and we're hoping for the same or similar results. We had use of the pool on both previous trips, and I'm fussy about letting my son get in the water when its cold out. You wont be upset with February travel..I can't speak on the other times. But I know that I will never do summer Disney ever again in life! Even when my ds's are school age...never!

Yeah, I agree with the previous comments. I have gone during school "spring break," the crowds are awful. And of course, with the exception of Christmas, the worst time is during the summer. This is from both a cost and crowd perspective. However, the second week of August crowds are "beginning" to thin as each week progressesl because some schools start in mid-August and the cost begins a slight slide downward. Labor day week-end is very crowded though and then they started offering free dining options at the end of August and through Septpember.

Thanks for the responses! do you think even it being february school vacation( the last full week in february) that it won't be that bad?

Most schools don't have a February vacation so I think you'll be pretty safe with a Feb but if not there is also a week or two after all of the spring breaks are over and a week or so after labor day. Most of the crowds are gone during these times.

oh wow i'm from massachusetts and we all have a week off in february. february sounds like the way to go. we wouldn't be going swimming or anything like that.
now i'm just trying to look up flight times and they are AWFUL! its either leaving at 6am or getting to the airport in orlando at 12:30am...ugh!

Leaving at 6am isn't too bad though, you may have to wake up hella early to get to your flight but at least it'll get you some time in the parks on the day you arrive.

We live 10 minutes away from WDW and I would most definitely recommend February. April is Spring Break time for many schools and it can be pretty crowded. February is nice and the temps are comfortable with a light jacket. It certainly isn't swimming weather, but the entire WDW experience is much more pleasant when it isn't crowded. Stay clear of Presidents Day and you'll have a great time!

although i've noticed that the flight prices are so much higher during that week in february. that stinks!

The weather in February may be "chilly" by Florida standards, but for us Northerners...it is delightful to feel the sun and 60 degree temps after the snow and ice of December and January! I can't wait to get there! Now, the return flight is another story!!:rotfl:

You guys are really making my day!!!:goodvibes I've never been there in February, but we've decided to go from Feb 20-Mar 1st. I figured there would be low crowds after the President's week, but you are really making it sound great. As far as the weather, New York in February is hell frozen over (literally), so 60-85 sounds wonderful!!!

I would still reccommend taking a few warm clothing items - sweatshirts, long pants, jackets. We went in February 2004 and teh weather was perfect for us Northerners - 70-80 each day (cooler in the morning and evenings). However, we also went in Feb 2006 and it was much cooler - highs in the 50s a couple of days and lows in the low 40s at night. It was fine as far as seeing the parks and going on rides and not having to worry about sweating; however we not really prepared with the right clothes and froze one night at MK watching Spectromagic and Wishes! So just be prepared for all kinds of weather in Feb. !
