Hello, DISers! I am not sure if this is the right place to post this question or not. If not (sorry!), please move the thread to the correct place.

I am stuck! We were going to go to WDW over Spring Break this year, but had to change our plans. So, now we are thinking of going either in June or September. Which do you think would be the best option?

If we go in June, then we plan on arriving June 7th and staying until the 16th at CSR. We would be driving instead of flying since we have a bit more time. I am concerned about the crowds since we have never been during the Summer.

If we go in September, then we would plan to arrive Aug. 29th and stay until Sept. 6th. I am hoping that Disney will offer FD during that time, so I am hoping to be able to get FD and stay at either CSR or CBR or POR (if I am lucky). We would plan on flying since we have school to consider and time is more tight. My biggest concern with this date is pulling my 2nd grader out of school. She attends a Christian school at our church, so they aren't too hard on families taking trips during school, but I am not sure her missing school the second week?

What would you do? Anyone have experience with crowds in June? The cost is about the same for both trips, but the September trip would be cheaper if you throw in FD.

Thank you soo much!

We usually go towards the end of August and find the crowds very manageable. We really like that time of year. We have done free dining in the past as well, but are using an agency room only discount for our upcoming trip. Happy planning.

I wouldn't plan on FD, it's not a given. Personally, I would probably go in September but that is just because I love F&W. That might not be a huge draw for someone with little ones. I can't speak to the crowds in June, we've never been in that time but used to always go in August/September. I've never found them too bad then. Given your choices, I'd probably pick June with the longer trip and not taking the little one out of school.

June is hot and more crowded as many southern states schools are already closed for break - September is hurricane season, still can be hot but less crowded because most schools are back in session.

I think September is most humid, June seemed a little less humid, like it hadn't really built up to max yet. I would pick June.

I would pick June since it seems a less stressful time for you. The crowds in early June aren't bad. The weather isn't too bad either, though being from Houston, I may be biased.

We went the last week of Aug. beginning of Sept. for several years. It was incredibly hot and humid but the crowds were moderate. June is hot as well with what seemed to me higher crowd levels. I would pick Sept. for the lower crowds. If you are gonna be hot might as well have fewer people.
