When to Go to HHI to Avoid Fall Breaks

I am retiring in June. After that, I can go pretty much anytime. My DH and I want to do 5-6 nights. We usually go either summer or fall break (which for us is the first full week of October). We are thinking about going at the end of September (9/27-10/2), but I'm wondering if there are other places in the country that have fall break then. I would go later in October but I think many schools have a week off around Columbus Day, plus we are maybe going to WDW in November and that would probably be too close of travel dates. Anybody's fall break the last week of September?

Yep. Metro Atlanta. Our counties fall break was always the last week of September.

Hhi will not be crowded after Labor Day. By mid-sept crowds are even less. I was there this sept during Atlanta break. Pool area was 25% full compared to 90% in summer. Ocean pool had even less people.
