When to go Summer 2012?

I know it's all very subjective, but I'm looking for opinions on when to go this summer. We thought about waiting another year when we could go early June, but I really want to go this year! If we go, it would have to be sometime between 6/29 and 8/5/2012. Thanks for your help!

The biggest consideration this summer would be the opening of Carsland. Which is currently rumored to be mid-June, and apt to draw the locals by the thousands. Some of them will only go to that area, leaving the rest of the parks to the tourists. Others, from all over the world, will converge on Carsland and stay to see the rest of the parks. The July 4th holiday will also have huge crowds.

So, I would go as late in August as you can. Or wait til next year.

I would wait until after July 9th or better the 16th. Go midweek and prepare for Summer crowds.




I would be extremely cautious about going in late August. Absolutely avoid the 20th to 24th. The 27th-31st will be better.

That's when annual passholders are first unblocked, so they'll be raring to get their first view of Carsland.

We always seem to go in August and I would stay away from the 20th on until later in Sept or go mid July to Mid August.
