OK... I had my mind set I was going to go the first week of December, but was just told that it is POP Warner week there.

So... How much does that affect the crowds in the park? I understand that the value resorts (and I'll probably stay at the Pop Century again) are pretty packed at that time. My main reason to go in Dec. (beyond loving the decorations) is the lighter crowds. So, I want to go the week that'll be best for that. More opinions please!

Hi Michael LTNS...I've been both the first and second weeks in Dec. and really didn't see a big difference as far as crowds go...Mousefest will be near that time if you are looking for fun thigs to do that will help you make your decision.....either way hope you have a blast....

This will be my third time going the second week of Dec. I just want to avoid all those teenagers screaming on the buses. They're usually leaving the weekend I arrive, so for the first day or two I've ran into them on the buses, but not bad. Crowds in the parks are OK, but the weather can be iffy. I usually pack everything from a coat, gloves, and hat to shorts and tanks. It's a beautiful time of year to go though, with all the Christmas stuff going on.

This will be my 1st time going in Dec. I'm booked 9-14. I'm starting to wonder just how busy it will be. I set up my ADR's last night and could not get a Candlelight Proc dinner pkg at any of the restaurants offering them. I tried 3 different days and all of them were booked solid.
Then, I tried to get Fantasmic at MGM and that pkg was all booked up, too.
Then, LTT and TTS were all booked up on the day I wanted to go.
So, I'm starting wonder just how busy it will be. At least, I was able to book Boma on the day I wanted and did get a ressie at WL (but had to take Courtyard as Woods View as gone).

If you can go the second week of December, I think that would be better. My sister and I went the first week of December and learned of Pop Warner after our reservations had already been made. It wasn't horrible, just a lot of very energetic teens who like to cheer at every available moment, which can get pretty loud:rolleyes: I would probably not go back during that time.

Thanks again Sandy & Chris for your responses. It looks like it will be the second week of Dec. for me. I've started making my ressies today! Too fun...
