:confused3 I'm new here, just discovered these boards. So many of you seem to have been to Disney so many times, I thought I might be able to get some input here. We went to Disney in Jan 2004 for a week and again in Jan 2005 for a quick one day visit to MK. We love Disney!! We saw the free dining deal and we're having a hard time passing up the opportunity to try out the new dining plan for free so we're thinking of going this fall. I was all set to book a trip for Sept 29 - Oct 6th but a friend just told me she was there the last 2 years during that same week and it was really crowded. I know crowded is a relative term, in the eye of the beholder so to speak, so I wanted to get some input from some of you frequent visitors. How does late Sept or early Oct compare to mid-January? Am I going to be completely astounded by how much more crowded it is or will it be fine, only hotter?? I'd love some help here - we're trying to make a decision!!

:earsboy: WELCOME to the DIS mouseika :earsboy:

Oh I think you will see it will be much more crowded in Sept/Oct than what you exprienced in Jan.! But it's not bad at all that early in Oct. I've been going for years sometime in Oct. It's my very favorite time of the year to visit WDW.The weather is so great then! It seems the secret is out and through the years I've seen an increase in the crowds but it's still much better than the crowds in the summer!

1. Pick the dates that work best for you, either schedule or price-wise or both.

2. Subscribe to Tour Guide Mike and you'll end up with a touring plan that will get you onto all the rides you want to ride with few waits, no matter what the season or the crowd level.

Never been in January, but we always go in September or October, and the crowds have always been small. Small enough to where we can ride Space Mountain 4 times in 30 minutes. IHMO, as long as the kid are in school, it's not going to be bad.
