When to go: Aug or Nov?

I'd prefer August. The crowds are slower and if you go near the end of the month, you can attend the Halloween party.

Rides shutting down in WDW is not at all comparable to rides in DLR shutting down due to rain. We went to DLR after 4 WDW trips and were amazed at how just a little rain closes so much in DLR. that doesn’t happen in WDW, a lot of rides there are in doors and sheltered from rain, WDW gets a lot more rainy days than Anaheim, so the imagineers planned for this.

November for weather.

If you would take lower crowds over heat and can handle the typical afternoon thunderstorm, the end of August.

I didn't realize that Halloween started so early in WDW! I have always wanted to attend DL's Halloween Party, but could never make the dates work. That is another big plus for August. Thanks!

I think you mean FREE dining, and yes, it is normally offered at the end of August because crowds are lower at the END of August.

@ADisneyFamilyof5 IF free dining is offered again next year, this could be another plus for the late Aug dates over November. You'll need to do the math to see if this discounted package is the best for you, but with a family of 5, it probably will be.

For me--NEVER August. Ever. November hands down. You have a shot at nice weather instead of oppressive heat and humidity. The worst.
