When to go April/May 2017

I am trying to book a hotel for next spring in April or Early may and need a little advise/suggestions.

It looks like Dapper days is scheduled to fall on April 22-23 would it be less busy if we went to the parks April 17- April 22 or April 24- April 29th.

My other two options are:

May 1 - May 6: bats days is the 5-7 and cinco de mayo also falls in that range.

April 10- April 15: Might still be some spring breaks and Easter is the 16th.

I know that no matter when we go its going to busy, the park always is. But the least busy the better. If you had to pick one of those weeks which would you choose and why?

I don't really have any strong thoughts about the late-April or early-May dates, but if I had to guess which would the busiest, I would go with the April 10 to 15 dates. The SoCal and SoCal Select AP Blockouts start on Apr 7 and go through Apr 16, which means DLR is nominally expecting the "peak" Spring Break crowds to visit during that two week period. So, I would probably avoid those dates if crowds are your main concern. Just a note, but if you do go before Easter, they may still be doing the Egg-Stravaganza activity, which was pretty cute and fun.

We have gone on the last three days of April in the past few years and we, for the most part, have had great trips. I believe in 2014 it was 103 degrees and the Santa Ana winds were blowing 40 miles per hour for 3 days but that is not the norm. I recommend you take April 24-29th. It's usually not that crowded, the weather is usually nice and most rides are up and running.

The week after Easter Sunday is still Spring Break season. So I would expect the week of April 17 to be busy

It's usually not that crowded, the weather is usually nice and most rides are up and running.

This is when we went in 2015 and really enjoyed that time, but that year it wasnt Dapper days and in 2017 it will be so im just concerned that it will increase the crowds quite a bit.
