when to fax requests

I am checking in on Dec 4. When do I fax? I have heard 4 days prior to check in. Would that be Nov 30? Just trying to find out the right day and would appreciate any help.

Generally the room assigners begin blocking room requests 3 days prior to arrival. So 3 to 4 days out for a fax is perfect. If you are arriving on Dec 4, I would send the fax out Dec 1st or 2nd just so that it doesn't get lost.

We faxed our request to the Dolphin 4 days in advance (as noted on the link by kdibattista). We requested what amounted to an upgrade but didn't put it in those terms ("we know you probably get a lot of these requests, but if possible, we'd like an upper floor room with an Epcot view") and we got it! We also mentioned that we'd be picking up our UPH's before 8am (we were on a land/sea package), and they had the room ready for us! BTW, I travel quite a bit, and the Dolphin desk folks were some of the nicest desk folks I've run into!
