When to fax AKL?

We are arriving 06/01/04 at AKL
When should I fax them my room location?
Also what is the fax#?

It is usually suggested to fax 4 days prior. But recently thoughts on that subject has changed and you are encouraged to just have it placed on your reservation. A CM recently posted a thread that faxes aren't really looked at. You could probably do a search for the thread...

We have faxed requests many times, and always get our requests met. I know some cm's have posted they just throw them away, but mine seem to get results!

There has been the suggestion of letting CRO place your requests on your res., then faxing a nice letter 4 days prior, when the room assigner gets your res. I always make sure to say I realize these are just requests, and any help they can give is appreciated!

I faxed our requests to AKL the four days prior to arrival like recommended. Not only were none of the requests honored, there was no record of the requests either. This was for an April 28, 2004 arrival btw. If I had to do it all over again, I would make sure it was just part of my reservation since calling to check on a faxed request can mess up anything that was already done to the ressie.
