When to call to catch a cancellation?

The rooms we want (poly concierge) are sold out for the dates we want. What is the best time to call to try to catch a recent cancellation? I am thinking early morning....I am in the midwest, so central time. thanks!

I was once told that 10 a.m. Florida time is when the cancellations are updated to the system. But that was a while ago and with their new computer system it may have changed by now. I'd just keep trying during the course of one day and see what happens. Ask the CM when you call if there is a certain time they update. Good luck.

I don't know whether it was the time of day that I called (5 PM) or the fact that it was about two weeks before our trip, but after weeks and weeks of calling every day looking for an opening for our dates, I was finally able last week to change our ressies from AKL to YC. It had been booked solid up til then.

Every time I'd called before that and asked the CM when I'd be most likely to nab a cancellation, I got a different answer ranging from something like 21 days prior to 5 days prior.
