When to buy my AP?

I think we have decided to buy AP's this year as we will be there for 10 days. We are also planning to make another trip a week earlier next fall to get more use out of them.

I am not sure the best way to buy the AP's for the three of us. I went to my local Disney Store (in CA) and they don't sell them for Florida. I am a DC member and want to get my discount. Do I need to buy them in advance? Or should I just get them once we are there?

We've always done hoppers so I am not sure how to do this.

Disney Club discounts available on most admission media in advance through The Disney Club (800-933-3975). DC discounts on select tickets available at The Disney Store shops outside of Florida. No Disney Club discounts are available at the WDW Resort gates except on new or renewal Annual Passes or Premium Annual Passes.
