Hi all,

JetBlue just extended their flight availability until January. I want to get flights for December for my trip and I’m wondering what the best time to book? Is this something I should be concerned that the flight I want will be sold out in December or do I have some time? When do deals come out and what is the best day to buy?

Would love to hear from everyone with experience on JetBlue flights! I will be buying 3 tickets from dec 6-19th from utah and using true blue points for my ticket to get my family to Disney World! Thanks!

Buy when you can live with the price. Trying to guess airfare is a lot like predicting lottery numbers. Although you can assume that prices will be higher over major holidays where lots of people travel. It's all based on demand and prices are adjusted on almost continuous basis on that demand.

It depends. Of all the times I have flow JB I have always seen my flights go up in price, except once and I luckily had not booked yet. Though I tend to fly on days that JB does not usually put on sale. I have purchased anywhere from a day or 2 after they go on sale up to 28 days prior to my flight. Others have watched prices and seen them go down from what they originally were when JB released them. Some people say the best time from JB is within a couple days of when they go on sale and others say to wait about 2 month prior to your trip. It all depends on your route and days flying but in the end no one know for sure what might happen. If any of us really did we would be rich from playing the lottery :) I am always of the thought that you buy when you are comfortable with the price and then don't look back.

i bought tickets on Sunday for myself and my sister-in-law.

My tickets are Tuesday-Sunday, 12/11-12/16. The Tuesday flights are still $114, but the Sunday afternoon flights are now $198 or $234, I paid $114.

My DSIL tickets are Sat to Sat, 11/10-11/17. I got her tickets for $114 down and $149 back. Her times are now $524 down and $449 back.

If you're willing to take early morning or late night you could be okay. My husband hates to hang around a resort the last day without a room waiting for a flight.

It's been a few years since I've flown Jetblue so I'm not sure if things have changed. But when I used to fly them semi-regularly prices only seemed to go up from the time of release. They may have a few sales here and there, but it never went down to as low as the price the day it was released so we tried to always book them as early as possible.

We've since found much better deals on other airlines so we haven't gone back.
