How far in advance are the prices available for booking Disney World vacations? I tend to do everything far in advance. Just wondered what the usual time frame was.

Our next trip will probably be Fall 2008. Is October a good time? Haven't been there since they started all the Halloween stuff. I'm guessing it's still rather warm in late September. Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated.

past expirence for me anyway is that they really wont let you book till around aug. for the following year.. but anytime after that (usually the earlier the better for big holdiay and crowded times of year the better.)

September - October are not that crowded.
You can walk on most rides.

Has anyone been there during the Halloween season? Would it be a benefit or something to avoid? (I never really thought about Disney and Halloween together, kind of hard to imagine.)

Thanks for the input!

I have to disagree - we go often in October for Food & Wine. It's pretty crowded. Halloween is pretty cool at WDW. :thumbsup2

It's been 15 years since our last Disney World trip. October was a great time then but that was before the Halloween stuff and the Food & Wine. Do both these events run all month?

Would late September be better or still too hot?

What about early November, or getting too cool?

We liked the temperatures in October, seemed to be just right most of the time. (I realize you have unusually cool or hot days anytime.) I prefer temperatures in the 70s.

Maybe we'd do better in the spring instead of fall. April seems to have temperatures comparable to October. Not sure if spring break is an issue at Disney World?

Thanks!

Yup, spring is a lot busier than October. I will say that Disney doesn't really have much of a "slow" season anymore, but at the same time Easter is the only time at WDW that's busier than Christmas.

We've liked traveling in October in the past. Didn't know what this Food & Wine Fest is about? This goes on at the same time as the Halloween stuff?

The Food and Wine festival is a blast!

Imagine drinking around the world, only this time add food and about 50 additional places to purchase said treats!

Tons of countries are represented!

BUT

Bring some cash! One trip around the world can easily set you back $100!

(And if your married to a bear, they are usually still hungry!):rotfl2:

I think October is one of the better times to go, the best being between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
