When to book Universal Vacation

Dh and I are going on an adults only vacation next spring. I want to do 2 nights at Universal and stay the other 2 nights at Disney with my DVC points.

I have gotten a fan club card and also signed up for the Lowes card. When is the best time to book, when are the discounted rates announced?

Also, what about purchasing tickets? We will have two park days here.

I would say, if you already know what dates you want, book it now. You can keep checking back for the discounts and they will be happy to change them. I think I saw someone on the boards saying discounts for spring my be avail in August??
